The closer Trump's inauguration, the more Zelensky is disappointed with Biden

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that although US and European support for Ukraine was important, he was partly disappointed with the policies of the administration of President Joe Biden.

About this he said in an interview with the Polish media, informs Censor.net.

Zelensky noted that during the Biden period, the joint activity of the United States and Europe in the areas of arms supply, sanctions and political support was positive.

“This is what happened during Biden's term, and I'm grateful for it,” the president said.

However, he said, some actions, including the imposition of sanctions before the Russian invasion, were too late.

“It's about pre-emptive sanctions before the invasion. We asked for both weapons and sanctions, but America said that “if something happens, we will then do it”... It seems to me that this was still a weak position,” he stressed.

Zelensky also expressed surprise at Ukraine's lack of support for air defense systems, noting that when the country loses the lives of its citizens, such decisions are difficult to understand.

“I have not fully understood and will never understand when we have people dying, and we have as many air defense systems as there are. And why we couldn't be reinforced by America with Patriot systems - I say America, because most of them are there - it's hard for me to understand. Maybe I don't know something. But I know one thing - unfortunately, people died.”
