The bombing of Azovstal threatens to leak a concentrated solution of hydrogen sulfide into the Azov Sea.
The shelling of the invaders could damage the technical facilities of the plant. They held back tens of thousands of tons of concentrated hydrogen sulfide - reported by the telegram channel of the Mariupol City Council. A leak of such a liquid can kill all the flora and fauna of the Sea of Azov. Hazardous substances can also enter to the Black and Mediterranean Seas. In Mariupol, sewage pumping stations were also damaged in the southern part of the city. All feces enter the sea without filtration.
The mayor of the city, Vadim Boychenko, called for the immediate admission of international experts and UN representatives to the plant to study the situation.
